Gosh she's getting so big! Cutie Patootie

Genevieve had her 4 month old check up. She is almost 13 pounds now (near the 25th percentile for weight) and she is almost 25 inches long (near the 75th percentile for length). We got the go ahead to start her on Rice Cereal. It's so funny that when we eat she starts moving her mouth like she is eating too. Even so, she doesn't seem so sure about this new experience.

Chad dressed Gen in this and brought her downstairs. I started laughing hysterically. The look on her face was like "I don't get it". It reminded me of the kid in the snow suit on "The Christmas Story". I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

So we realized that Genevieve had very little winter clothes so I went shopping this weekend. I couldn't pass up the Seahawks sweatsuit. Too Cute!

Changing Table

Janelle left a comment asking, "ok so honestly how often do you use the changing table?" My response? We use the changing table every time Gen needs a daiper changed and we are in the house, so it gets used frequently. In fact, it is one of her favorite places to be. She really starts talking and giggling when she is on the changing table. Thanks for the comment Janelle, it gave me more ideas of what to share. I'll try to get a pic of Gen on the changing table (diaper on, of course).

OK it has been some time since I have posted new pics so here they are.
Gen still loves her Rocking Chair.

She would much rather sit and face you than be held.

This way she can see everything that is going on.

We went to the fair. Gen posing. Chad got this quilt for being a demo dad at daddy boot camp. They always have a dad come with his new baby to demonstrate answer any questions for the new dads and to give the new dad's a chance to hold a baby.
She is getting so strong!!

This Sweet Peace swing is still not her favorite but she loves the frog toy.

Genevieve got her first cold. Monday she was really fussy. Didn't want to eat but then it was obvious she was hungry. Kept jolting awake at naps. Chad took her to the doctor on Tuesday. Apparently she had thrush and was congested too! Poor baby no wonder she didn't want to eat or sleep. She is feeling much better now.

Genevieve is really getting into looking at herself in mirrors. She really loves standing on the counter in the bathroom and watching herself in that mirror. I'll have to get a picture of this.
